Pulmonary death Paintings

a few watercolour/ink sketches for my continuous ‘Still Life’ series of death Paintings.

Im thinking of exploring the idea of the flip side of Internet pornography and looking at the female ‘nude’ Post Mortem. Painting from Internet Jpegs i find on the internet.

Autopsy sketch Stab wound

Stabwound small jpeg i found on the net. Thought this might work well as a print-perhaps a lithograph.
I hope to clear a space in the shed to use as a makeshift studio come photo developing area for pinhole exposures.

I wish i could find these type of images on a larger pixel quality, a lot of the lines im making are based on guesswork.

Ted Bundy

Theodore Robert “Ted” Bundy, born Theodore Robert Cowell (November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer active between 1973 and 1978. He twice escaped from county jails before his final apprehension in February 1978. After more than a decade of vigorous denials, he eventually confessed to over 30 murders, although the actual total of victims remains unknown. Estimates range from 26 to over 100, the general estimate being 35. Typically, Bundy would bludgeon his victims, then strangle them to death. He also engaged in rape and necrophilia. Bundy was executed by electric chair for his last murder by the state of Florida in 1989

Serial Thriller

im in the middle of watching ‘house of 1000 corpses’ im streaming through stagevu-i have wanted to watch it for ever, and overjoyed i found it.

i have googled many things today-since watching the film, various serial killers as mentioned in the film such as Albert Fish. i would like to maybe paint a few, or look into art based on this subject. i have also discovered an art movement from serial killers who make art in prison. maybe i could look into this further.

found this lady who knits serial killers (female)

Wikipedia says on Serial killer art-
Serial killer art is defined as artwork created by serial killers while in prison. Often, this process is used as a therapy device, or for further understanding a particularly disturbed psyche, while in other instances it is purely a method of time spanning entertainment for imprisoned individuals. The artists usually vary dramatically in skill and themes covered.

John Wayne Gacy, Richard Ramirez, and Henry Lee Lucas are a few of the better known American serial killer artists. Perry Smith, the mass murderer known from Truman Capote‘s famous nonfiction work In Cold Blood, was also a prolific artist.

anyway the film visuals are great, im enjoying the xpro style bright colours and split screen…very b movie-esque come teen horror. i love how creepy the main character is black guy painted up to look like some kind of uncle sam circus clown, with a strong black american voice.
i also googled deformed babies, and started to plan a painting series, as well as more pathology/crime scene/autopsy pics looking at Dumas of course.

ive reached halfway with my tea canvas and unsure wether to complete the space, sewing more flags to overspill the canvas or stop with the flags nicely staying within the frame. for this i am referencing Fluxus art-dieter roth mainly, as he married an Icelander and lived and worked here when alive.

Lunch in a Turf House

this is an artist who paints crime scenes. i was thinking of doing the same, at some point, as i started to whilst at uni from my Death scenes book. It also mentions a necklace of ears, i made that, but a terribly rushed an unfinished, piece i hope to recreate, using more permanent materials.

Found this book on burial rituals, fantastic for my project, but with no current ar i can use online it shall have to wait.

From my ongoing obsession with Nick Cave, and being annoyed i didnt go t watch the production of Faust, still showing at the city Theatre, in which Cave has written the soundtrack.
I have since rediscovered Lydia Lunch, an artist and singer/performer, who collaborated with Cave in his ‘Birthday Party’ years. She was also in one of my favourite films The Heart is Deceitful above all things, playing the social worker. I dont remember her in this film, so i plan to re watch, and i believe someone has uploaded the film onto youtube.
Currently listening to her ‘Queen of Siam’ album, has much more of a traditional music structure than i heard from her other stuff, lots of Jazz influence. Her voice is reminiscent of Kat Bjelland of Babes in Toyland/Katastrophy wife.

Im sleeping much more than i have been, but feel so shattered when i wake up, im not sure if it’s because i am over seeping, or im not ging into deep sleep. I just feel so tired.

Also Looking at Fluxus artist’s as i want to try to be more minimal in working, when working with the Tetra house, and Yoshitomo Nara an artist ive loved for many years, who until recently had an exhibition in the Reykjavík Art museum, and various locations in London. Another idea ive just had would to be some how re-create a turf house. unless one builds a shed and paints black, and grows grass on the roof, im not sure how DIY method one would use.
